How to Solve Lonsdor K518ISE Update Failure Errors?

Here are tips and guides to help solve the problem that Lonsdor K518ise displayed error after software update.

Error message when K518 update is unsuccessful:

Error 1:

Hardware initialization failed, error code 030000

Error 2:

Device fault9fff

Error 3:

When click on the “Immobilizer” button after K518 device update, it skips to the interface below:

Also, there are other errors that might happen to you.

Step 1: After rebooting the Lonsdor K518 key programmer, please press and hold the setting and return buttons(marked with a red box) simultaneously for a few seconds..

Step 2: When the following interface appears, please click on the“uninstall APK” button in the red box, and wait for a few seconds.

Step 3: It will turn to the following interface. Please click on “OK” to continue.

Step 4: When the following interface appears, please click on the button “Oldest APK” in the red box to install factory-set/default APK.

Step 5: Please wait for about 30 seconds.

The factory-set APK is installed and initiated automatically.

Then input the password on boot, and click on“OK”.

When you see the following interface, click on “update” in the red box. Remember to reboot the K518 device after update.

You can use it as usual.

Lonsdor K518 Read Citroen Picasso 2013 Pin and Program Key

Here is the Citroen C3 Picasso 2013 pin code reading and remote programming guide.

Tools need:

working remote key

Keydiy universal remote key

Key programmer (I have Lonsdor K518ISE and Xtool X100 PAD2)

First try with Xtool X100 Pad2

Connect X100 pad2 with vehicle

Select IMMO function->Citroen->Read Pin code
There are only 3 options
Select Type 1

Turn on ignition with programmed key

Turn off ignition

X100 Pad 2 kept asking turn on and off ignition and finally it failed to read pin code.

So I try read pin code with Lonsdor K518ise

Turn on ignition switch

Select Citroen->Read Pin code

Lonsdor have 4 options, select Type 1

Turn off ignition, don’t insert key

Turn on ignition

Turn off ignition

Turn on ignition

Turn off ignition

Read pin code success

Now start programming

Select Citroen->Select from vehicle->C4->Immobilizer->Type 1->Program key

Turn on ignition

Lonsdor K518 reads vehicle information VIN, PSA number etc

Auto enter pin code to access

Switch off and on ignition within 15s

Program key completed, program next key

Switch ignition off, replace new key, and turn on ignition within 15s

Program 2nd key success

Steps to program remote control

1.Turn off ignition and remove key
2. Insert a key and turn on ignition
3. Press any button of remote control for 10s then release within 20s
4. Switch ignition off and remove key

Test remote control

Success.

Lonsdor K518 KPROG2 Pinout to VOLVO XC90 CEM RENESAS M32C

Q: I want to read the Volvo XC90 CEM RENESAS M32C, but i cannot find the pin out of the Lonsdor K518ISEKPROG2. Can you send me the photos of the connection of the Kprog-2 adapter? This is the only one i found on official website.

You need to read CEM master data, 93c86 data and rearview mirror data for xc90.
use another programmer (i.e xprog) to read 93c86 data and rearview mirror data. use kprog 2 to read master data.

remove this chip when reading data. cut off the power supply and wire the chip back after reading data.

Lonsdor K518ISE Read Peugeot 308CC Pin Code

New test report:  Lonsdor K518ISE key programmer read pin code on a Peugeot 308CC success.

Connect K518 host with vehicle via OBD socket

Turn on ignition switch

Lonsdor K518 Program Opel Astra 2013 PCF7941 Remote Key

Here’s the guide to program new remote keys for 2013 Opel Astra car with key chip PCF7941. Pin code reading, Chip and remote control are programmed by Lonsdor K518ISE key programmer.

Step 1: Read Pin Code

Connect K518 host with vehicle via OBD socket

Select Immobilizer->Opel->Astra->Read Pin Code->Read Pin Code Type 1

Read 4-digit pin code very fast

Step 2: Program key

First we try select from vehicle

But in Astra option, we can see only year 2007 option

So we try enter from type

Select from Type->Type 1->Immobilizer->Read Key Count

Lonsdor K518 detected 2 keys stored

Select All Keys Lost

Close all doors and switch ignition on.

K518 will ask enter 4-digit pin code to access

Configuring system, wait for 10 minutes

Insert the key to be programmed and turn on ignition switch

Turn ignition off and remove key

Open and close the driver door, make sure all the electrical appliances are off

Turn on ignition

Program successful

Insert next key to be programmed

Repeat steps above to program next key until success

Test the new keys

Done.
