Guide to read pin code and program key on a Chevrolet Epica 2009 when lost all keys by using Lonsdor K518 key programmer.
Key information:
Original remote key: 2-button straight key
Frequency: 433MHz
Chip type: 60 chip
Pin Code: required
Read eeprom device: Xprog M programmer
Key programming device: Lonsdor K518ISE key programmer
Procedure:
Step 1: Read EEPROM data
If lost all keys or only have deputy key, there is no tool will calculate pin code on Chevrolet Epica by OBD. So we need to disassemble BCM and read eeprom.
Remove BCM under dashboard
Read eeprom dump from BCM Mask 1k20C with Xprog ecu programmer
Save eeprom dump as bin format
Step 2: Calculate PIN code
Lonsdor K518ISE shows unable to identify pin code automatically.
Follow guides below:
- Connect K518 host with laptop via USB cable. You’ll see “customfile” folder
2. Copy eeprom bin file to “customfile” folder
3. select eeprom bin file on “customfile” folder
Select calculating Pin code by uploading EEPROM data
Upload eeprom data read by Xprog
Lonsdor K518 will read PIN code from dump BCM Chevrolet Epica HC05B16N Mask 1k20C
Step 3: Program Key
Connect Lonsdor K518 with vehicle via OBD diagnostic socket
Turn ignition to ON position
Select Immobilizer->Chevrolet->Epica-> – 2012-> All keys lost
At least 2 keys are required to program key
Insert first key to be programmed and turn ignition on
K518 requires to enter 6-digit PIN Code and confirm
Select key number to be programmed. Maximum 6 keys can be programmed
Insert next key and turn ignition on
Insert 1st key and turn ignition ON
Program new key success
Test the new key. Working.
Done.
